Years ago I got hooked on Pandora. It got me through the hours when I wasn’t able to listen to my music collection, and also gave me many recommendations of new artists or new songs that I would try to remember to look up once I got home to buy. But then for whatever reason, I slowly stopped listening to it. Periodically over the last year, when I’ve just wanted a new playlist, I would pull it back up and see what was to offer.
And last night I was reminded of just why I liked Pandora so much. After a busy couple of days, last night was a night I just wanted to chill. I still had a salad to put together for lunch today, so I was looking for background music and something different than the music I currently have up on playlists. Scrolling through my Pandora stations, I came across one I’d created for Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata. I’d forgotten I had one for that.
And it’s wonderful. It was the perfect station for last night and I’m listening to it again this morning. I’ve listened to some Bach, some Chopin and Mendelssohn…great music. And I’m also reminded of just how eclectic my music tastes are. Some of my stations, along with classical, are 90s alternative rock, dance/house, Brazilian, etc. Music for every mood.
